Description

**JOB IS LOCATED AT A REMOTE MINE SITE in Northern Saskatchewan and is strictly a NIGHT SHIFT position.

**WE COVER YOUR TRAVEL (Flight/shuttle service out of Saskatoon, P.A., certain communities), MEALS, & ACCOMMODATIONS when at site!

**REQUIRES SHIFT WORK WITH COMPRESSED WORKWEEKS - 2-WEEK IN-AND-OUT ROTATIONS.

**YOU MUST PASS A DRUG & ALCOHOL TEST.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of food for menu preparation.
- Prepare food to meet quality standards.  
- Carry out directives of Chef or designate as requested.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained.
- Maintain an orderly and clean environment.
- Ensure all food items remain stocked.
- Set up front line for meal service as required.
- Serve the meal lines during meal service periods
- Tear down line, put away food, including cleaning and refilling steam table as needed.
- Areas of responsibility may include breakfast, protein prep, salad prep, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- 1 year cooking experience in a busy kitchen environment, WITH A SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON BREAKFAST in a fast-paced, high volume setting.
- Completion of a recognized professional cooking course would be an asset.
- A valid food safe certificate is an asset but not required (we provide training & certification).
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Strong team player who works well with others.  
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties.
