Summer Student JobWork independently and unsupervised to complete assigned field and sampling tasks
Conduct crop scouting and in-field assessments
Assess plant health and identify disease, nutrient deficiencies, and stress symptoms
Collect and prepare soil, plant tissue, sap, and microbiology samples for laboratory analysis
Assist with soil microbiome testing and biological performance indicators
Support agronomists in interpreting soil, tissue, sap, microbiological, and plant health data
Develop an understanding of The Albrecht Method, including:
o Calciums role in soil structure
o Calcium-to-magnesium ratios in base saturation
o Mineral synergism and nutrient antagonism
Assist with fertility planning through fertilizer programs, including rate, placement, and timing
Support Earth Optics soil mapping and zone-based fertility decisions
Use GPS-enabled equipment and agronomy data software for field mapping and data management
Assist in evaluating crop response, yield results, and ROI from fertility investments
Operate general farm equipment including tractors, sprayers, seeding, and tillage equipment (training provided)
Perform general yard, shop, and field duties
Maintain safe, organized, and professional work practices
