Description

The Opportunity
Horizon School Division is now seeking a successor for the role of Principal in Foam Lake Composite School. Reporting to the Director of Education, the Principal of Foam Lake Composite School is responsible for leading the school's day-to-day operations, ensuring that all students are instructed, assessed, and supported in a safe and welcoming learning environment. You work collaboratively with all school staff in the development of the school's Learning Improvement Plan that is aligned in such a way as to advance Horizon School Division's three pillars of Literacy, Safe & Caring and Graduation Rates. The Principal will also ensure the creation and implementation of school policies, regulations, and procedures for financial and procedural administration, scheduling, extracurricular activities, emergency operations, and facilities management. You will also serve as a community role model, and assist staff, families, and the school's community in creating a top-quality educational experience for all students. Other duties will be assigned as required by the Director of Education or designate. This position will commence for the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain and promote high standards for all staff and students with regards to academic performance and personal growth, responsibility and character.
- Manage, evaluate and supervise the conduct of procedures, operations, curricula, extracurricular activity, and discipline to ensure a safe and welcoming learning environment.
- Oversee and conduct regular supervision, evaluation and performance appraisals for all staff.
- Establish and maintain an orderly learning environment that instills accountability and ensures high morale among staff and students.

Qualifications
- Valid Saskatchewan teaching certificate(or eligible to obtain)
- Bachelor of Education Degree
- Five years of teaching experience
