Job Description: Within a multidisciplinary team provide professional psychological services. Provide comprehensive cognitive/developmental assessment to a wide range of clientele with disabilities inclusive of individuals suspected of having FASD, Autism or other complex developmental problems and to provide recommendations for follow-up and/or care. Provide assessment and diagnosis (or support to physicians making diagnoses where applicable) for children and youth.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Education
- Doctorate in Psychology.
- A minimum of one year clinical experience in a child/adolescent mental health service setting or in an adult mental health setting.
- Experience with forensic, developmental and neuro-cognitive psychology.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of normal child and adolescent development and psychopathology. Knowledge of cognitive disability models with regard to mental health diagnoses from childhood to early adulthood. Knowledge of interventions empirically validated or supported by best-practices literature. Knowledge of forensic issues in relation to cognitive dysfunction and mental health diagnoses.
- Knowledge of FASD and the 4-point code diagnostic system.
- Significant experience in providing assessment and diagnoses in a mental health setting.
- Knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques appropriate to an aboriginal/multicultural population.
