Description

Lifeguard/Instructors help keep the Foam Lake Water Park safe while also delivering highquality swimming lessons through the Lifesaving Societys Swim for Life program.

Requirements
National Lifeguard Award
Swim for Life Instructor certification
Standard First Aid/CPRC or AEC
Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector if 18+)
Assets: WHMIS, NLAWater Park, Pool Operator Course
Able to work days, evenings, weekends
Strong water safety knowledge and professionalism

Key Responsibilities
Monitor patrons with continuous attention and enforce pool rules
Anticipate unsafe behaviour and perform rescues when needed
Administer First Aid/CPR and complete incident reporting
Maintain clean, safe pool conditions, including water testing
Participate in inservice training and maintain skills
Lead Swim for Life lessons with safe, effective instruction
Provide positive customer service and respond to inquiries
Promote aquatic programs and maintain good public relations
Maintain daily records, attendance, chemical logs, and lesson materials
Track certifications and notify management of updates
Perform cleaning and minor maintenance tasks
Other duties as assigned

Job Demands
Moderate physical effort, exposure to chemicals, heat, humidity, and outdoor weather. Hours may vary for events or staffing needs.

Work Schedule
June 1August 31, 7 days/week with varied daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
