Description

In this role, you will:
-Operate Atlas Copco Raisebore drills (53R) and Cubex Scorpion drills (and all associated equipment).
-Co-ordinate set-up, teardown, and placements of Atlas Copco Raisebore Drills (53R) and Cubex Scorpion drills.
-Assist in the installation and removal of bits and reamers.
-Assist with Longhole stope blasting activities.
-Oversee training and safety of Raisebore personnel at second and third levels of progression.  

Required:
-minimum grade 12 education or equivalent;
-minimum of five years of relevant work experience as a raisebore operator or longhole drill operator in a mining environment;
-minimum of five years underground work experience;
-strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills;
-rotating day shift/night shift schedule; and
-work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Recommended:
-experience in longhole drilling and blasting;
-able to obtain a Saskatchewan blasting certificate;
-experience in mine rescue training; and
-ability to operate small pieces of equipment (skid steer).
