Description

The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safetys Provincial Protective Services (PPS) Branch has an exciting opportunity for motivated, responsible, and team-oriented individuals to join the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) Investigation Unit as Investigator/Inspector. Positions are available in Saskatoon (2), Regina (2), and Prince Albert (1).

SCAN works to improve community safety by investigating and enforcing under The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act. As an Investigator/Inspector, you will conduct plain clothes investigations and enforcement activities in high-crime areas, targeting properties used for illegal activities such as drug trafficking, grow operations, sex trade, child exploitation, organized crime, gang-related activity, illegal sale of intoxicants or alcohol, stolen property, graffiti, and nuisance properties.

Current and former members of a police agency are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must be eligible for appointment as a Special Constable under The Police Act, 1990 (SK) and will undergo enhanced security screening and maintain security clearance. You may be required to participate in a pre-employment psychological evaluation, obtain and maintain qualifications in use of force and firearms consistent with Saskatchewan Police College standards, and work flexible shifts with extended hours, including travel outside normal working hours.
