Description

Signal Direct Communications Ltd. based in Estevan, SK, is a full-service communications company focusing on Motorola two-way radio systems, rural high-speed internet, and TELUS/Koodo cellular services. With a network of over 30 towers, we keep residential, commercial, and industrial clients connected.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Installation Technician. This role involves installing and servicing a variety of electronic and communications systems, including fixed wireless internet equipment, security cameras, access control systems, and vehicle electronics. Training will be provided, but a mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
-    Vehicle Upfitting: Install two-way radios, GPS tracking, signal boosters, and emergency lighting/sirens in various vehicle types.
-    Field Installations: Install and align fixed wireless internet equipment; structured cabling, install/configure security/access control systems.
-    Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
-    Run and terminate low voltage cabling.
-    Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
-    Maintain accurate logs of parts used and work completed.
-    Adhere to all provincial and site-specific safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:  
-    Valid Class 5 drivers license
-    Proficiency with power tools and a basic understanding of 12V vehicle electrical systems
-    Basic computer skills
-    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-    Strong written and verbal communication skills
-    Comfort working at heights (ladders, rooftops and towers) and in all weather conditions.
-    Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
-    Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen
