Location:  SASKATOON, SK
Employment Type:  Full-time Term summer position (approx. 16 weeks  
April - August 2026)
IMPORTANT: This position may be funded in part through Mitacs, depending on candidate eligibility, or through the Canada Summer Jobs Program (for information on youth eligibility, see Canada Summer Jobs  Which youth participants are eligible). The successful candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of hire. The organization does not provide immigration sponsorship or support. Genome Prairie is seeking a motivated student to fill a full-time, term position (AprilAugust) based in our Saskatoon office. Reporting to the Manager, Communications and External Relations, you will contribute to knowledge mobilization and communications activities by supporting digital platforms, research projects, and events that advance Genome Prairies mandate across the Prairies.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Lead or assist in producing, editing, and publishing digital content (web, social media, newsletters, podcasts, video).
Maintain and update digital platforms to ensure information is accurate and accessible.
Support project Principal Investigators (PIs) in meeting knowledge mobilization requirements.
Assist in organizing events, including symposiums and government relations gatherings.
Other communications and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution in communications, media, digital design, arts, social sciences, or related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with digital platforms and Adobe Creative Suite; some technical skills in video or audio production.
Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
