SHERWOOD CO-OP IS RECRUOITING FOR A FULL TIME COMMERCIAL SALES CLERK
Duties:
To have a high level of phone etiquette and ability to communicate well with others.
To be able to process orders when called upon. To order special order products when needed. To have a professional and friendly attitude when dealing with builders and contractors.
To set margins accordingly on special order products as set by the Commercial Lumber Managers. To Manage special order inventory ensuring price levels are met and quantity on hand is accurate.
To have the ability to do material estimates for small projects in MI9 or other supplier estimating systems. To do follow ups on estimates to close sales.
To have knowledge of building practices. To be familiar with building materials and its place within these building practices.
To be able to use the MI9 System to do proper quotes, to place special orders and to arrange for delivery and pick-up of materials. To maintain an orderly filing system for orders and quotes which would be accessible by others.
To ensure a high level of customer service to builders and contractors.
Qualifications:
Must demonstrate knowledge/experience in all aspects of home and building supplies, general lumber operations and the building industry.
Must have demonstrated knowledge/experience in estimating, pricing and ordering building materials.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Grade XII education or equivalent work experience.
Must have a valid driver's license.
