Rose Garden Hospice is currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead and support our volunteer program. This role is responsible for the recruitment, training, coordination, and ongoing support of hospice volunteers, working closely with the hospice leadership team and staff to ensure volunteers are well-integrated and supported in their roles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, organize, and maintain a comprehensive volunteer program for Rose Garden Hospice
Recruit, screen, orient, and train new volunteers
Coordinate volunteer scheduling and placements to meet hospice needs
Provide ongoing support, supervision, and communication with volunteers
Collaborate with hospice staff and leadership to identify volunteer opportunities and program needs
Collaborate with Fundraising Committees in preparation of hospice events/presentations
Maintain accurate volunteer records and documentation
Represent Rose Garden Hospice at community events, presentations, and outreach opportunities as needed
Additional Responsibilities
Train in HR, Payworks, AR/AP duties for Administrative support
Qualifications & Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable manner
Comfortable with public speaking, presentations, and community engagement
Strong computer skills, including basic office software and database use
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
Experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, healthcare, or nonprofit work is an asset
Sensitivity, professionalism, and respect for confidentiality in a hospice environment
Position Details
Part-time: 24 hours per week
Wage: $22$25 per hour, depending on experience
Work is primarily on site at Rose Garden Hospice
