Description

The Ministry of Social Services supports positive outcomes in income assistance, child and family services, disability supports, and affordable housing. We work with individuals and communities to build economic independence, strong families, and resilient organizations. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as Child Protection Supervisors in Buffalo Narrows. In this role, you will oversee services that protect and support children and families using the Family Centered Case Management Model.

You will supervise and coach Child and Family Program staff, guide change within the unit, support the use of the Structured Decision Making model, and provide leadership in implementing policies, procedures, and community resources. You will collaborate with colleagues and management to enhance service delivery, ensure quality standards, respond to stakeholder inquiries, and represent the ministry on committees.

Successful candidates understand child protection issues, socioeconomic factors affecting families, and multicultural values, especially First Nations and Mtis. You bring experience leading diverse staff and applying familycentred case management with sincerity, connection, and community focus. Buffalo Narrows offers yearround recreation and a welcoming community. Applicants must hold a BSW or BISW from an accredited university and have several years of child protection experience, including staff supervision.
