Maintenance Worker
Location: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
Potters Canada has an immediate opening for a full-time, unionized Maintenance Worker at our Moose Jaw facility, reporting to the Production Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and equipment repairs
Follow written and verbal instructions safely and accurately
Complete assigned preventative and corrective maintenance
Maintain mechanical spare parts inventory
Make routine maintenance decisions within established procedures
Work effectively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrate reliability, attendance, and a positive attitude
Use computer systems for maintenance documentation
Support and apply ISO 9001:2015 practices
Physical Tasks & Work Conditions
Use high-torque manual tools (up to 30 minutes/day)
Wear full-face respirators for baghouse repairs and dryer tube work
Climb ladders for maintenance and repairs
Work at heights using approved equipment (including forklift man-cage)
Limited exposure to paints, solvents, and degreasers
Seasonal exposure to cold and hot process conditions
Exposure to vibration from equipment and hand tools
Exposure to dust and fumes during repairs and occasional welding
Respond to 24/7 on-call requirements
Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
Perform other duties as outlined in the job description
Qualifications
Enrolled in or progressing toward journeyperson certification (Industrial Mechanic, Welder, Machinist), or equivalent experience
Valid drivers license
Strong computer skills
ISO 9001:2015 knowledge is an asset
Ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines
