Position Summary
Lead the design and transformation of Reginas public spaces. In this role, youll develop urban design strategies, create compelling visualizations, and guide projects that enhance streetscapes, parks, and public gathering places. Youll collaborate across departments, engage the community, manage multidisciplinary projects, and help shape a vibrant, inclusive, and attractive city. This position reports to a Senior City Planner.
What You Bring
- Strong expertise in urban design, placemaking, and people-focused public spaces
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualization tools
- Ability to interpret policy, analyze data, and develop thoughtful design solutions
- Degree in urban design, planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or related field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience
- SALA or CIP membership (or eligibility) is an asset, along with municipal experience or engagement/project management training
