Reporting to the Regulatory Manager, this position is responsible for the following duties:
Responsibilities:
-Assist with the achievement of regulatory objectives of maximizing performance and minimizing impacts to operational timelines
-Support the project approval process
-Support cross-disciplinary, integrated and collaborative project development process
-Assist in the preparation of submissions to provincial and federal regulatory agencies including the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission
-Assist in tracking regulatory commitments and obligations
-Assist in the management of regulatory records
-Assist with the review of the best practices, policies and regulations in the field of health, safety and environmental protection
Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
-Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language
-University/Technical school attendee/graduate with experience in a field relating to health and safety, environmental protection, natural sciences (including but not limited to chemistry, geology, biology), mathematics, or mining
-Preference will be given to individuals displaying strong abilities in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint
-Technical and/or report writing abilities an asset
-Open to learning and takes initiative
-Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills
-Ability to work well independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
-Honest, ethical, and respects confidentiality
Work Location & Schedule:
-Saskatoon Corporate Office
-8 hours/day; 40 hours/week (8:00 am 4:30 pm)
-Occasional Travel to the McClean Lake Operation
-4 month term; May August
