About You:
You are a creative and detailed oriented communications and marketing professional. You are highly motivated and love working collaboratively. You are also a leader and coach who enjoys nurturing talent and supporting others.

What is the opportunity?
You will be the chief storyteller for the organization, crafting narratives that inform and empower investors, consumers, and industry participants and that support the perception and brand reputation of the FCAA. You will lead communication strategies, media relations, advertising campaigns, social media and website content to support our strategic goals.

What will you do?
- Lead the internal and external communications functions for the organization.
- Provide regular strategic communications advice.
- Create and manage the communications operational plan, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives.
- Develop and oversee public education campaigns to raise awareness of programs and initiatives, ensuring effective communication with the public.
- Manage media inquiries and crisis communications to ensure accurate public messaging for the Minister and the organizations officials.
- Engage and collaborate with regulatory and policy counterparts in other jurisdictions.

What do you need to succeed?
As the successful candidate, you must clearly demonstrate the ability and experience to provide strategic direction to the organization in the formulation of all communications, marketing and engagement activities. Emphasis will be placed on your vision of enhancing the brand of the FCAA and building engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Typically, the technical skills required for this position would be obtained through a post-secondary degree in communications, journalism or public administration, combined with experience as a senior level communication professional. Public sector experience would be considered an asset in this role.
