Description

Break Free Outreach Ministries Inc. operates a purpose-driven thrift boutique designed to create opportunity, build skills, and support pathways toward stability and employment.

We are seeking a Thrift Store Manager who is an experienced retail leader and committed Christian to oversee daily operations, lead a small team, and foster a welcoming, well-run retail environment. This role works closely with Break Free leadership to ensure operations align with the mission, values, and faith-based foundation of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised store

Manage inventory flow, including donation intake, pricing, tagging, and displays

Recruit, schedule, supervise, and support staff and volunteers

Provide hands-on training in retail operations, customer service, and workplace skills

Foster a respectful, supportive team culture

Create a welcoming environment for customers and donors

Oversee cash handling, POS systems, and daily sales reporting

Monitor inventory levels and sales trends

Communicate regularly with Break Free leadership

Qualifications

Retail management or supervisory experience

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Ability to work in a start-up environment with evolving systems

Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

Experience in thrift, resale, non-profit, or social enterprise settings is an asset
