Description

The Broadway Business Improvement District (BBID) is seeking a dynamic and community-driven Executive Director to lead one of Saskatoons most vibrant and historic commercial districts in Saskatoon, SK.

For more than 40 years, the BBID has animated and promoted Broadway, a beloved historic and contemporary district home to over 160 independent merchants, as well as schools, churches, arts, and cultural organizations. The BBID is ready for its next chapter, and we are seeking a leader who can help shape that future.

Reporting to a volunteer Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the organization. The ED serves as the voice and champion of the Broadway district, fostering collaboration among merchants, property owners, community stakeholders, and municipal partners.

This is a unique opportunity for a collaborative leader who thrives in a community-focused environment and is excited to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on operational leadership.

Qualifications
    Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
    Experience working with a Board of Directors and understanding of non-profit governance.
    Demonstrated leadership, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills
    Experience in financial management and revenue development (grant writing, sponsorships).
    Background in event planning, small business management, or community economic development is an asset.
    Strong communication skills and ability to articulate a compelling vision.
    Interest in urban development, community building, and local economic trends.
