Description

The North Service Areas are seeking Child Protection Workers for the Creighton office to deliver services under The Child and Family Services Act and The Adoption Act. Using the Family Centered Case Management Model, you will provide protective, preventative, and support services to children and families.

Key responsibilities include investigating allegations of neglect or abuse, assessing family functioning and risk, developing and implementing intervention plans, and providing ongoing support. You may initiate Family Court proceedings and guide families through the process. When children come into care, you will coordinate placements, ensure their health, psychological, social, and educational needs are met, and plan for reunification or longterm care. Collaboration with First Nation Child and Family Service agencies is often required.

This role involves travel, flexible hours (including evenings and weekends), and transporting children and families.

What we offer: dynamic and challenging work; competitive salary; comprehensive benefits and pension; vacation and earned days off; inclusive workplaces; and advancement opportunities.

The Ministry of Social Services is committed to excellence, continuous improvement, and a diverse workforce. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply. Candidates must clearly outline how their education and experience meet the requirements.

A Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work (SASW/CASW or CASWEapproved) is required. Flexible hours and travel are expected.
