Description

The White Bear Education Complex (WBEC) is seeking a substitute teacher to support its
educational programs. WBEC is 13 km north of Carlyle, in the heart of beautiful Moose
Mountain, near the majestic White Bear Lake. WBEC believes in maintaining a low student-to-teacher ratio (~6:1) and fostering a school climate guided by the 7 Grand Teachings - bravery, honesty, humility, love, respect, truth, and wisdom. WBECs second-level services are provided by the Treaty Education Alliance (TEA).
WBEC provides excellent benefits and supports continued professional development
opportunities for all staff. Candidates must model positive communication, professionalism, and
respect. Knowledge of First Nations is an asset that includes culture, language, and traditions.
WBEC is seeking a responsible and community-minded substitute teacher to support students to and from school each day safely. This role is vital to supporting student success, ensuring
children arrive on time, ready to learn, and return home safely.

The Candidate must possess the following skills:
a) Knowledge of First Nations education, curriculum integration, methodology, and
resources.
b) Have, or can obtain, an authorization to teach from the Saskatchewan Professional
Teachers Regulatory Board.
c) Must demonstrate successful experience as a classroom teacher.
d) Have an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom.
e) Illustrate a desire to be part of a collaborative educational team.
f) Ability to work effectively within an environment, which includes developing
meaningful and productive relationships with students, parents/caregivers/significant
adults, professionals, and community service agencies
