Description

Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and coordinate on-site activities, ensuring efficient workflow and quality standards
-Lead and direct field crews, assigning tasks and monitoring performance
-Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations
-Communicate project progress, issues, and needs to the Construction Manager regularly
-Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job instructions
-Coordinate deliveries, equipment usage, and subcontractors as needed
-Monitor jobsite productivity, track daily progress, and submit accurate daily reports
-Proactively identify and resolve conflicts or delays to maintain project schedule
-Maintain site cleanliness, organization, and a professional work environment
-Utilize SiteDocs for safety documentation and training compliance
-Keep supervisors and management informed of any safety concerns, equipment issues, or other critical site matters
-Provide guidance and feedback to crew members to improve performance
-Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative environment

Experience:
-Minimum 5+ years of experience in a foreman or supervisory role in civil or utility construction
-Strong understanding of construction methods, tools, and safety protocols
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
-Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Ability to work in various weather conditions and on different types of terrain
-Takes pride in producing high-quality work
-Ability to travel to project sites and willingness to work out of town
-Proficient in using a smartphone or tablet for work-related apps
-Excavator experience is an asset

Required:
-Driver Licence
-SCOT (Safety Construction Orientation)
-CSTS (Construction Safety Training System)
-CODC Rights & Responsibilities
-Ground Disturbance Level 1&2
-First Aid/CPR and WHMIS
