Description

SaskBuilds and Procurement brings together infrastructure, procurement, real property, facility management, logistics, and information technology to support Saskatchewans Growth Plan and deliver services to citizens. The Property Management team is seeking a motivated Building Operator in Prince Albert.

This role ensures customer comfort and safety by responding to client needs, maintaining facilities and equipment, and performing routine repairs, preventative maintenance, lawn care, snow removal, and other physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and working at heights. It also includes operating and maintaining equipment, performing security procedures, managing supplies, and supervising ministry staff within the building.

Success in this position requires the ability to lead others, work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks, follow maintenance and cleaning standards, and operate equipment safely. The Building Operator ensures compliance with ministry safety requirements, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, and Employment Standards.

We are seeking a problem solver with leadership skills, experience in building maintenance, and knowledge of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. A Firemans Boiler Operator Certificate and experience with DDC controls are assets, and a valid drivers licence is required. The ideal candidate is adaptable, responsible, organized, and capable of working in physically demanding conditions with strong knowledge of building repair and maintenance practices.

This position offers dynamic and meaningful work, a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits including pension, vacation and earned days off, and an inclusive workplace.
