The Robotic Dairy Worker will focus on animal health and productivity while utilizing robotic data. The key responsibilities of the postion are:---Herd Health & Animal Care: Ensuring dairy cows are milked at correct intervals by reviewing the robot report and fetching cows listed on the report. Monitor cow health, behavior, and milk production through robotic system data. Training new cows and heifers in the robot barn. Feeding dairy cattle; milking herd, dry cows, young stock and calves on milk. Identify and report health issues to the manager-lameness, mastitis, fresh cow care, etc. Sort dairy cattle and assist with treatments, vaccinations, and herd health protocols. Fill foot baths with chemical for hoof wart control. Load/unload dairy cattle in robot barn. Ensure minerals, salt and hay are always available for herd. Monitor facility ventilation.---Robotic Milking System,Feed Pusher & Manure Pump: Monitor and manage 2 GEA R9500 milking units. Perform routine robot cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Respond to system alarms & resolve common system issues. Monitor feed augers for proper pellet dispensing. Service manure scrapers. Run GEA HOULE Piston manure pump daily. Service MOOV2.0 Feed Pusher unit when necessary. Monitor Acid and Detergent levels for automatic system cleaning. Monitor teat dip levels. Service milking system compressor and vacuum units. Work with service technicians as needed.---Data & Records: Use DairyPlan software and scouting reports to monitor cow health and heat detection. Recordkeeping of animal health using computer software and manual paper based methods. Enter accurate records and report concerns to management. Check milk overview reports to track herd performance.---General Farm Duties: Feeding, bedding, and cleaning facility and equipment. Operating farm machinery. Follow farm safety and biosecurity protocols. Assist other staff as needed.
