About Us  
The Ministry of Social Services supports people through income assistance, child and family services, disability supports, and affordable housing, helping individuals build independence and strong communities.

The Opportunity  
The Income Assistance Programs team supports Saskatchewans most vulnerable residents. We are seeking a motivated leader to provide case consultation, support staff training, guide policy interpretation, and work with community partners. Sensitivity to First Nations and Mtis cultures is essential. You will work with diverse individuals and families facing challenges such as addictions, mental illness, disability, and unemployment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership, coaching, and case consultation

Support training and staff development

Lead change initiatives

Interpret and explain legislation and policy

Review and provide feedback on policy issues

Use motivational interviewing and strengthbased approaches with clients

Ideal Candidate  
You can resolve conflict, train staff, conduct interviews, assess risk, develop case plans, and document information clearly. You work respectfully with diverse groups, understand social issues and humanservice programs, and remain calm in stressful situations. You can interpret and apply legislation such as the Saskatchewan Assistance Act and related program policies.

A degree in Social Work, Indigenous Social Work, Sociology, Human Justice, Psychology, or a related field is typically required, along with humanservices experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage time pressures are essential. A valid drivers licence and some travel may be required.
