The Ministry of Social Services, Child & Family Programs, North Service Area is hiring Emergency Duty Workers in Buffalo Narrows and/or Pinehouse for permanent parttime positions. These roles provide afterhours emergency services to families, with hours varying based on the number of emergency callouts. Reporting to a Child and Family Supervisor, you will respond to child protection concerns by investigating abuse or neglect referrals, assessing child safety, and developing immediate safety plans for families in crisis. You will participate in a regular rotation for afterhours coverage, transport families as needed, provide emergency financial aid, and lift or carry small children when required. Travel and flexible work hours are essential aspects of the position.
To succeed, you must have strong knowledge of humanservices policies, practices, and procedures. This background is typically gained through a diploma or degree in a Human Servicesrelated field and/or experience in a human service setting. Candidates must be legally eligible to operate a vehicle in Saskatchewan and able to work varied and flexible hours.
