Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Recycling Division while ensuring that the Material Recycling Facility (MRF) is operating safely and efficiently.
2.Hire, train, schedule, monitor and evaluate employees within the Recycling Division; complete documentation and reporting as required by Cosmopolitan Industries Ltd.
3.Maintain an excellent working relationship with the contract holders, partners and all other external suppliers/clients such as the contracted recyclables collectors, and other waste haulers.
4.Maintain NAID certification for Cosmo Shred division.
5.Develop effective working relationships with all staff and program participants to ensure a respectful and positive work environment is achieved.
6.Ensure that work procedures comply with Saskatchewan OH&S safety regulations and safety standards set out by Cosmopolitan Industries; ensure that employees and program participants comply with same.
7.Ensure that equipment is effectively maintained, repaired and/or replaced as necessary.
8.Purchase necessary equipment/supplies; maintain adequate inventory.
9.Prepare, submit and present documentation and reports as required by the company.
10.Manage Recycling Division operating budget, participate in annual budgeting process. Continuously monitor operating budget and report/trouble shoot deviations from annual budget.
11.Ability to flex working hours to provider leadership and oversight for staff operating across multiple shifts, including evening operations.
12.Assist with strategic planning, budget and fiscal management as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
13.Crosstrain for other duties/positions as deemed necessary.
14.Other duties as assigned.
Must provide satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
Relevant post-secondary education preferred.
