Description

Hours of Work: 37.5 weekly  Monday to Friday

As a part of the kikinaw Residence, the Womens Housing Leadership Team, and under the direct supervision of the kikinaw Residence Manager, and general supervision of the Director of Housing, the kikinaw Coordinator has primary responsibility for the Eagle Staff Hill program that supports women on parole. The Coordinator will work with the team and Correctional Service Canada cooperatively to create a positive communal environment for all residents and will contribute to a healthy team culture among program staff that enhances collaboration with a respectful approach to challenging issues.

Qualifications:
*Demonstrated experience working with women experiencing homelessness, addictions, mental health challenges, poverty, and other complex issues
*Bachelors degree in such as social work, human justice, addictions, or an equivalent combination of education and well-established experience in a related field of work.  
*Strong interpersonal skills
*Exhibit effective organizational skills
*Strong crisis intervention, counselling, and case management skills
*Strong knowledge of Indigenous culture and background and its relation to colonization and continuing oppressive practices
*Cultural awareness, and respect for women of various backgrounds
*Class 5 drivers license
*Provide a satisfactory criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check and fingerprints for an advanced clearance check; and
*A valid CPR/First Aid certification.
