The Role
As part of Camecos Community Relations program, we are seeking a full-time community relations liaison to work out of the community of Patuanak. This positions primary responsibility will be to the English River First Nation.
In this role, you will:
-Assist Cameco with the implementation of the English River First Nation Collaboration Agreement, their long-term contractors with recruitment efforts for members and residents in connection with the operations. This includes presentations to high school and post-secondary students, maintaining a skills database, and supporting skill development training plans and development strategies.
-Liaise with Cameco mine sites, English River First Nation, including operation and community visits.
-Represent Cameco at Chief/council and public meetings.
-Answer inquiries related to the operations and coordinate logistical plans and provide Dene translations and emcee meetings as required.
Required:
-grade 12 and two to three years of relevant experience;
-proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat;
-ability to speak Dene and English;
-team player with excellent communication and organizational skills;
-valid class 5 drivers license; and
-ability to travel frequently on short notice.
