Description

As an Early Childhood Educator you will ensure that children receive the highest quality care and early learning experiences. The Early Childhood Educator will plan an open-ended, inclusive, holistic and developmentally appropriate program and environment. This position will work collaboratively with other Early Childhood Educators, the Assistant Manager and Executive Director to ensure the highest quality care for children and families.

The Early Childhood Educator will be directly responsible for all aspects of children's care and learning. They must stay current with best practice and be able to work in both a team setting as well as independently.

Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
-Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning opportunities
-Planning an inclusive, holistic learning environment
-Ensure they are familiar with SK child care regulations
-Implement child guidance strategies
-Build relationships with families and communicate regularly to ensure that their child care needs, questions and concerns are addressed.
-Ensure that and needs, questions or concerns are communicated to the Assistant Manager and Executive Director
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the environment
-Collaborate with other educators to plan a program and environment that meets the needs of all children and families
-Assist with children'ss developmental assessments
-Participate in various professional development opportunities
-Communicate programming and environment supply needs to Executive Director
-Complete reports as needed (programming, minor injury, medication, etc.)
-Follow monthly staff schedules and duties
-Ensures active supervision at all times
-Facilitate and engage children in further learning
-Other duties as required
