THE OPPORTUNITY AWAITS YOU

As a Shipper/Receiver, you will be responsible to ship, receive, and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment, and manufactured products to or from PTIs facilities within required timelines. You will arrange shipping logistics, inspect incoming materials, and maintain shipping materials. You will also be responsible for maintaining the yard and warehouse.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Selecting method of shipment and arranging shipping based on production schedule, carrier availability/pricing, and other internal factors.
2. Stage unit for shipment using overhead cranes, forklifts, and other lifting mechanisms.
3. Load units onto trucks per shipping specifications/standards.
4. Unload material from trucks into receiving hold area by hand or using forklift.
5. Inspect incoming material for quality.
6. Performing other duties as allocated.

WHAT IT TAKES

1. Grade 12 or equivalent education combined with formal training and/or work experience in related field.
2. Valid Drivers License must be held and maintained for this position.
3. Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
5. Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
6. Experience in a customer service setting is an asset.
7. Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
