Description

The bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate and transparent financial records for Oungre MemorialRegional Park. This role supports the Park Administrator and OMRP Parl Board by ensuring all financialprocesses follow Regional Park ACt requirements, internal policies, and generally accepted accounting practices. The bookkeeper plays a key part in supporting smooth Park poerations. The successful candiate will be responsible for managing finacial records, processing invoices, handling payroll and ensuring accurate accounting of daily transactions
Key REponsibilites:
Maintain accurate and up to date financial records, acounts payable, accounts receivables and bank reconciliations
Prepare deposits
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports
Manage cash flow
Process payroll including emplyee payroll files, time sheets and records of employment, as needed
Assist with budget planninng and monitoring
Support management with financial queries
Communicate proffessionally with vendors, staff and visitors when dealing with financial matters
Ensure financial practices comply with the Regional Parks Act and Park bylaws/policies
Wrk in partnership with the Park Administrator regarding grant writing and reporting
Qualifications:
Diploma or certificate in accounting, finance or related field
Experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Proficiency with accounting software (Quickbooks and Microsoft Office)
Strong attention to detail,organizational skills and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
Seasonal variation in workload, higher volume May to Seotember  Hours to be determined
