POSITION SUMMARY:    You must love the outdoors and love working with people!  Maintenance, cleaning and customer service will be the top priority for this new position with the Town.  Being a Campground Host means you get to camp for the entire season for Free at the site of your choosing!  Your campsite, water, sewer and power are included with this position.  

Whether you are a single or couple, the job scope can also be defined by the applicants!  If you would like to camp for the summer and relax by the fire every night, this position offers that kind of flexibility.   We welcome anyone to apply, we have a very relaxed job description and each year the Host defines the position as it suits them while still assisting the Town.

Daily Duties (But not limited to) shall be:
    Check In Customers  using the Lets Camp website, may collect fees and handle small amounts of cash (a tablet will be assigned to you and there is wifi in the campground)
    Assist campers with locations of amenities, local restaurants, stores etc.
    Hand out pamphlets, maps and assorted local materials
    Light housekeeping, keep washrooms and areas tidy and sanitized
    Minor repairs and maintenance
    Make regular rounds to ensure campers are abiding by the campground rules (noise, pet messes, fire bans)
    Sell and supply firewood to campers
    Depending on the hosts, you may be asked to sell small camping products such as sunscreen, bugspray etc.
    Hours will not be 9-5 but can be negotiated to flow with the times of summer.  Host(s) will be responsible for check in / check outs and making sure campers leave when required for other reserved campers

Qualifications:
Speak, read and write English
Must Hold a Valid driver's license
Clean Criminal record check including vulnerable sector
Mechanical skill
First Aid is an asset
