Description

The EVRAZ WASCO PIPE PROTECTION CORPORATION is a leading provider of pipe coating solutions for the oil and gas industry. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to join our team at our pipe coating facility. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, from strategic sourcing of raw materials to managing supplier relationships and optimizing inventory.

Key responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing and Procurement: create and align strategies with company objectives to optimize purchasing processes and supplier relationships
- Supplier management: Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers and manage existing vendor relationships.
- Inventory control: Work closely with the Operations and Production teams to forecast demand and implement inventory management strategies that prevent shortages while minimizing carrying costs.
- Cost optimization and analysis: Continuously monitoring market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
- Process improvement: Implement and manage procurement systems, policies, and procedures to streamline processes
- Reporting and metrics: Track and analyze key procurement metrics, such as vendor performance, purchasing volume, and cost savings

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Proven negotiation skills and a track record of successful vendor contract management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency with procurement software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
