Description

Duties and Responsibilities
Member & Public Services
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, directing calls to the appropriate staff member.
- Greet and assist visitors, members, and guests in a welcoming and respectful manner.
- Register members for programs, events, and activities, including processing membership applications and renewals.
- Provide accurate information to members and the public about centre programs, events, and services.
Administrative & Clerical Duties
- Draft, edit, and distribute the monthly newsletter to members via email and/or print.
- Manage incoming emails, responding when appropriate and forwarding inquiries to the appropriate senior staff.
- Prepare, edit, and format documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
Communications & Coordination
- Post program updates, events, and announcements on internal bulletin boards and digital platforms.
- Prepare promotional materials for programs and events that are required.
Financial & Recordkeeping Support
- Accept and process payments for memberships, programs, and events, ensuring proper cash handling and documentation.
- Maintain accurate attendance and participation records for programs.
Other Duties
- Order and maintain office supplies and forms.
- Support special events, workshops, and Centre initiatives as needed.
- Assist other staff with administrative projects as assigned by the Executive Director.
- Maintain confidentiality of member, staff, and organizational information in accordance with Centre policies.
