JOB SUMMARY:

Cowessess Community Educational Centre (CCEC) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator committed to delivering high-quality instruction and serving as a positive role model for students. The successful candidate will teach Physical Education across K12, promoting physical fitness, health, and wellness while developing students teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship skills. This role requires collaboration within the supportive CCEC team to create engaging, inclusive, and safe learning environments that foster student growth, participation, and overall well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A valid Class 4 Saskatchewan Education Teaching Certificate is required.

A Bachelor of Education degree is considered a strong asset.

Knowledge and understanding of Treaty Education and/or traditional Treaty teachings.

Solid understanding of K-12 curriculum outcomes, whether local, provincial, or territorial.

Familiarity with current literacy practices and instructional strategies across PreK to Grade 12.

Strong working knowledge of assessment for learning principles and various assessment tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly competent in Microsoft Office programs (especially Word and Excel) as well as online learning platforms.

Ability to maintain an organized filing system, both physical and electronic.

Understanding of First Nation governance structure and the First Nations education system.

Ability to follow directions, work independently, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.

Highly organized, punctual, reliable, and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality.
