Description

The Ministry of Social Services is seeking a Resource Supervisor for Child and Family Services in the Prince Albert office. This position supports programs that provide protective, preventative, and supportive services for children and families using the Family Centered Case Management Model of Practice.

The Ministry is looking for a leader who is committed to supporting staff, strengthening service delivery, and contributing to positive outcomes for children and caregivers. The ideal candidate brings strong supervision skills, sound judgment, relationship building abilities, and a practice style grounded in respect, empowerment, and accountability. The successful applicant will be approachable, collaborative, and able to guide teams through change while maintaining high quality care and service standards.

Candidates will possess a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from an accredited university, along with previous supervisory experience in Child and Family Programs. Strong knowledge of policies, procedures, community resources, and regional service needs is required, as well as the ability to manage budgets, approve expenditures, and represent the Ministry on committees. A valid drivers licence and the ability to travel and work flexible hours are also required.

If space allows: Responsibilities include supervising and coaching resource staff, monitoring care practice, supporting change management, liaising with ICFS agencies, and ensuring effective communication and service delivery across units and partner organizations.
