Job Description: The Communicable Disease Control (CDC) Public Health Nurse Supervisor works under the direction of the designated Manager and Medical Health Officer (MHO) and is responsible for the supervision of Communicable Disease Public Health Nurses (PHN) and other designated Communicable Disease staff. The CDC PHN Supervisor is accountable for the coordination of public health activities to control and prevent communicable diseases. This work includes legislated responsibilities per The Public Health Officers Regulations, The Public Health Act, 1994 and The Disease Control Regulations, and policies and practices outlined in the provincial Communicable Disease Control Manual and as directed by the Ministry of Health and Saskatchewan Health Authority. They will supervise and coordinate the designated communicable disease staff in the prevention, planning, and implementation of Communicable Disease Control (CDC) services within the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
