Position Overview
The Senior Estimator develops accurate cost estimates for engineered-to-order equipment and manufacturing projects. Working with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, this role validates scope, defines effort and materials, documents assumptions and risks, and prepares structured estimates using standard templates. The role requires strong technical judgment and hands-on manufacturing knowledge to estimate engineering, fabrication, machining, and assembly work for complex heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Review RFQs, drawings, and specifications to identify scope gaps and risks.
Collaborate internally to confirm assumptions, effort, and feasibility.
Obtain supplier pricing and build complete cost models.
Prepare structured estimate packages for internal review.
Identify cost drivers, risks, and exclusions before pricing.
Manage multiple estimates and maintain documentation discipline.
Review estimate vs. actual results to improve accuracy.
Qualifications
10+ years estimating engineered-to-order or heavy industrial work.
Strong understanding of engineering effort, fabrication, machining, and assembly.
Experience coordinating across engineering and manufacturing teams.
Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.
Technical background in a related field.
Valid Class 5 license.
