The Business Relationship Manager serves as the primary liaison between ITD and senior ministry leaders. The role guides ministries in developing IT/IM strategic plans, aligning technology with business priorities, and supporting clients through all stages of IT governance. Responsibilities include participating in project selection and prioritization, escalating project issues, coordinating IT resources, and advocating for technology solutions that advance ministry goals. The position promotes customer advocacy, manages service concerns, mediates issues, and fosters a customerservice culture. It leads ministry application portfolio management, ensuring modernization of critical systems, and oversees IT service contracts, renewals, and procurement activities.
Candidates require knowledge of IT systems, data management, portfolio and project management, and strategic planning. Experience as a senior business manager, strong communication, negotiation, relationshipbuilding, and the ability to manage heavy workloads are essential. A Computer Science degree (or equivalent) is required; BRMP, PMP, portfolio, or change management certifications are assets, along with 35 years of project or portfolio management experience.
