Description

Whitecap Dakota Nation is seeking a motivated Program Coordinator to support the Wellbeing Department. The Wellbeing Services Program Coordinator will assist in revitalizing and redesigning the Nations Wellbeing Services through culturally grounded planning and program development.
The Program Coordinator works closely with the Wellbeing Director to co-create programs that promote healing, wellness, and family preservation. The position incorporates guidance from leadership, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and families, and includes identifying service gaps, coordinating initiatives, and supporting the development of culturally relevant policies, procedures, and programs that reflect Dakota and Indigenous values.

The duties listed are representative and not exhaustive. Reporting to the Wellbeing Director, the Wellbeing Services Program Coordinator will:
Support the review, development, and coordination of culturally grounded wellbeing programs.
Conduct needs assessments, identify service gaps, and implement initiatives that promote family wellness and prevention.
Develop policies, procedures, and program materials rooted in Dakota culture and trauma-informed practice.
Collect data, prepare reports, and assist with work plans, budgets, and funding proposals.
Build strong relationships with community members, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and partner organizations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Post-secondary education in Indigenous Studies, Social Work Education, Human Services, or a related discipline.
-Minimum 3 years experience in program coordination, development, or Indigenous family wellness, including experience designing and delivering community-based programs
-Provide a Criminal Record check with Vulnerable Sector and Class 5 license with reliable vehicle.
