Humboldt and District Community Services (HDCS) is seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional to join our team at Hilda Home. Our residential group home supports adults experiencing disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives within a safe and inclusive home environment.

Our Direct Support Professionals play a critical role in providing person-centered support, promoting independence, and ensuring each individuals dignity, well-being, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide respectful assistance with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and daily routines
- Support meal planning, preparation, and household tasks
- Assist individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment
- Support individuals in achieving goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans
- Encourage participation in community, recreational, and social activities
- Support transportation to appointments, programs, and community events
- Maintain accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other professionals
- Shift work including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications:
- Compassionate, respectful, and person-centered approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, responsible, and professional

Required
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
