Responsibilities include assessing risk, investigating allegations of abuse or neglect, developing intervention plans, supporting families, transporting children, and working flexible hours, including possible evening Emergency Duty shifts. Staff may receive traveltime compensation and access to staff housing during rotations. The rotation averages four weeks, with 11hour days Monday to Saturday.
A valid Saskatchewan drivers licence is required. Candidates must clearly demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. A Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Indian Social Work, or equivalent accredited degree (CASSWapproved) is required. The Ministry values strong families, community wellbeing, and positive outcomes for children. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, with priority consideration for Indigenous candidates. The eligibility list will be used for current and future vacancies for up to six months.
