Description

Core Function
The Agro Summer Student reports to the Agro Manager and is responsible for the completion of daily tasks and any larger projects as assigned, while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for themselves, team members and customers.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1.    To be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.
2.    Build relationships with farm customers and team members.
3.    To understand and adhere to our Co-ops brand values:
    Integrity
    Excellence
    Respect
    Community
4.    Loading and delivering chemical orders for farm customers.
5.    Loading fertilizer into trucks and receiving loads.
6.    Operate forklift, skid steer and loader (training will be provided to the successful candidate).
7.    Support the Agro team with in-season crop scouting.
8.    Warehouse maintenance and inventory quality control.
9.    Attend grower events.
10.    Assist with any tasks around the yard including but not limited to cutting grass with the tractor and spraying weeds.
11.    Assist with seed treating.
12.    Assist with chemical shed shipping/receiving.
13.    May assist with filling out reports/contacting growers.
14.    May assist with Fertilizer blending.
15.    Adhere to Advantage Co-ops Health and Safety Program and all policies and procedures.
16.    Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
-    You have efficient organizational skills.
-    You have a Class 5 drivers license.
-    You have strong communication skills both written and oral.
-    You have a positive, professional approach and attitude.
-    You are dependable for all scheduled shifts.
-    You have the ability to problem solve.
-    An Agro background would be considered an asset.
-    Ability to lift up to 50 LBS. repetitively.
