Description

This position is for the Holistic Wellness Center located in Prince Albert.

The Position:
Mental Health Care Provider assists individuals in their recovery and rehabilitation process by teaching social, living and symptom management skills.
Duties:
Coordination and participation of the crisis response team in training, skill development, team debriefing,
follow-up and liaison between program and community.

The MHCP will take the lead role in the Mental Wellness Teams and implementation of that program
Proposal Writing to enhance existing services and acquire necessary funding to further expand those services for communities

Education:

On FNIHB's approved list or a willingness to work towards becoming a member of a registered association.
Background knowledge and skills of Addictions /Life-skills impacting the health of individuals and families.
Fluency in English a requirement. Fluent in a First Nation language with the Prince Albert Grand Council area an asset
Certificate in St. John's First Aid/CPR is a requirement
Possess a good working knowledge of First Nations culture, values, language, spirituality and community life on the reserves




Documentation & collection of data of issues impacting First Nations

Written reports outlining program activities

Maintain Code of Ethics and confidentiality of persons and those service providers of the Centre and clientele that they work with
