The WASCO PIPE PROTECTION CORPORATION is a leading provider of pipe coating solutions for the oil and gas industry. Our facility is a fast-paced, safety-first environment where we rely on a strong team of dedicated employees. We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our Maintenance team.

As a WASCO Welder, you will play a crucial role in the production process, assisting and supporting the Maintenance Department and its skilled tradespeople in all areas of welding.

Key responsibilities
Perform all kinds of welding and cutting of any type of metal using gas and electric welding equipment
Receive instructions, prints, and work orders for job
Interpret drawings and sketches, plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements
Select materials in accordance with suitability for job
Lay out work, sketch, and determine the stock sizes as required
Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded as required
Set up, assemble, and tack weld parts, constructing special fixtures as needed
Make any type and size of weld, such as V lap, butt, etc; preheat parts when required

Qualifications
Red Seal Journeyman Welder Certificate preferred
Minimum 2 years experience as a Welder in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Ability to interpret drawings and sketches
Analytical approach to problem solving
High attention to detail
Safety awareness and responsibility
