Description

The Ministry of Highways, Prince Albert West District, is seeking a Labour Service Ferry Operator for the Fenton Ferry. As the Ferry Operator, you will operate and supervise the operation of a small river ferry crossing carrying vehicles and passengers at the crossing. You must be able to work shifts and all days of the week.

The successful candidates will have knowledge of safe operating practices and water rescue procedures; Occupational Health and Safety and workplace procedures; routine equipment maintenance; and basic mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, fuel, and lubrication systems.

You will also have good communication skills and the ability to interact with staff and the general public with understanding, acceptance, and compromise.

A valid Class 5 driver's license is also required.
