Duties and Responsibilities:
George Gordon First Nation (GGFN) is currently seeking motivated and engaging casual Early Childhood Educators to be responsible for guiding and instructing children. The passionate, creative, and energic individuals would ensure the children well cared for.
Works with the Daycare Centre team in promoting a happy atmosphere and
being a positive role model.
Plans and organizes activities while following philosophy, policies, and regulations, including safety requirements.
Provide opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving appropriate to the development levels of the children.
Consistent supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities, including providing any encouragement, guidance, and assistance needed.
Be sensitive to individual children's differences and needs and be willing to adjust to meet those individual needs.
Become knowledgeable about each individual childs developmental needs.
Record necessary information pertinent to each child.
Maintain open, friendly, and cooperative relationships with each child's family and encourage their involvement.
Communicate with parents on a daily basis.
Ensure confidentiality of privileged information.
Other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Early Childhood Education Level One (1) Certification.
First Aid and CPR certification or be willing to obtain it as a condition of employment.
Previous experience supporting or supervising children.
Be available to work with short notice and flexible with hours and the ages of children able to work with.
Have a high level of energy and patience.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Completion of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
A valid Saskatchewan Class Five (5) Drivers License is considered an asset.
