Description

As a member of the maintenance department, this position works collaboratively with other members of the maintenance department to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and maintenance of all Regina Housing properties.  

What you'll do:
Complete all vacant unit cleaning tasks in accordance with Regina Housing process and standards.
Clean carpets, rugs, and floors using appropriate methods (steam cleaning, sweeping, mopping).
Repair or replace damaged fittings or hardware in vacant units such as door handles, light switches, faucets, and cabinet hardware.
Patch and paint walls as needed.
Fix minor plumbing issues and assess appliances to ensure they are in working order.
Snow removal for all properties as necessary.

What you'll need:
1-2 years of experience in custodial, residential, or commercial cleaning.
Previous experience in general maintenance and repair is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Basic knowledge of cleaning best practices, chemicals, and supplies.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Introductory knowledge of general plumbing and carpentry repairs.
A class 5 drivers license and a reliable vehicle.
Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector search.
