Description

The IT Strategist will elevate technological innovation & strategies that support SARC. The IT Strategist is responsible for policy development & analysis, professional development, research & program evaluation, and materials development as they relate to IT. Leads a team who values delivering an end user customer experience that is second to none.

- Lead the development & implementation of strategic direction for IT services
- Provide leadership, guidance & supervision to direct reports
- Work with organizational leaders to implement a strategic plan that blends technology into service delivery
- Identify effective & innovative approaches to technology-based issues
- Act as a champion for new strategies
- Identify gaps in efficiencies; streamline technology-based solutions
- Increase IT capacity through technology-related projects, hardware upgrades & training
- Keep on top of IT trends
- Manage internal IT support
- Ensure IT data security, risk management, disaster recovery & business continuity planning processes are in place
- Report regularly on progress & outcomes
- Participate in annual budget process

You will need:
- Degree in information systems, computer science or related; minimum 8 years of management experience leading a team; combination of education & experience may be considered
- Extensive experience with IT strategic planning, budgeting & personnel management; significant experience in development & implementation
- Broad technical knowledge & skills
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to customer service; excellent presentation skills
- Excellent analytical & organizational skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Experience negotiating with vendors
- Excellent interpersonal & leadership skills; able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment; enjoys challenges, self-motivated
- Satisfactory CRC required as a condition of employment
