Bit Service Company Ltd. is a Saskatchewan manufacturer and distributor of mining products and equipment, founded in 1965.

Locally owned and operated, employing full time professionals between Esterhazy and our head office in Saskatoon, we have grown to provide full design, fabrication and repair of cutting assemblies for underground mining and tunnelling equipment, including cutting optimization and wear reduction.

About the job:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Braze Line Operators primary role is to perform all new manufacturing of mining cutting products.  

Primary Responsibilities:
Operates braze line at optimal level to meet or exceed established daily production rates that are assigned by shop orders.
Set up and adjust machinery to ensure proper alignment and functioning.
Monitor production processes and troubleshoot any issues to maintain efficiency and quality.
Conduct regular inspection of finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
Maintain detailed production logs and report any discrepancies to management.
Implement and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency.
Use ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools to track production and inventory.
Perform daily required preventative maintenance on associated equipment.
Read and interpret CAD prints, drawing and work instructions.

Physical requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Prolonged standing throughout the day
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

Qualifications:
Completion of a machinist apprenticeship or technical school training is preferred.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Knowledge of, and experience with, CNC controls, precision cutting tools and measuring instruments.
Previous experience brazing carbide to steel an asset.
